Materials such as ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) are mixed together, foamed in a mold, and the closed cells are broken with mechanical force to produce the foam sponge.

　　PU foam is soft in texture, heat-sensitive (can withstand temperatures up to 200 degrees), and easily combustible (flame retardants can be added). It is a plastic product produced by the crosslinking reaction of polyurethane with TDI or MDI. According to the size of the internal bubbles, various densities can be achieved, and various shapes can be made by molding as needed.
